KeyCreator 2022 Service Pack 1 Released

Software updated with file translators and several new features

MARLBOROUGH, Mass.—Kubotek3D, a leading supply chain software provider, today announced the 2022 SP1 service pack release of the KeyCreator software products. This release provides updates to many CAD file translators, several new functions and options, and dozens of fixes.

Updated CAD Translators
Reading of CAD files in KeyCreator software has been updated to support the latest versions of seven major CAD file formats:

  • Dassault Systèmes (DS) CATIA V5 R2022x (R32)
  • DS SolidWorks 2022
  • DS Spatial ACIS 2022
  • Siemens Digital Industries Software (SDIS) NX Series 1980 (through 2000 build)
  • SDIS Parasolid 34
  • SDIS Solid Edge 2022
  • SDIS/ISO JT 10.7

JT support in the Max tier of KeyCreator Pro has been expanded to support polygon mesh entities. Support for the 10.7 version of the JT format in this release is limited to the KeyCreator Prime and Drafting products. Support for CATIA V5 R2022 is limited to KeyCreator Pro (Premium and Max)

Standard Components Enhancement
The 2022 SP1 release of KeyCreator Pro has added a new function which connects to the CADENAS 3DfindIT web-based components catalog. This function helps users quickly find and insert into their designs pre-drawn CAD models for thousands of commonly used components.

Minor Enhancements
The Arc mode of the Sketch function has been improved with radius and angle increment settings which support quick dragging of the DynaHandle object to adjust these parameters.

Formatting of solid entities now remembers which page of format options was used last to save a click for users when they are changing the same property repeatedly.
A new render mode has been added to KeyCreator Prime and Drafting which allows visualization of all edges of bodies, even when they are behind shaded faces. This option can enable quick visualization and selection of edges on the back side of a model without needing to rotate the view.
